With a wide variety of materials to print on, inkjet offers a great deal of flexibility for printing large format and specialty signage. The color gamut exceeds all other available printing processes, and the quality is better than "photo quality". Transitions are smooth, colors vivid, blacks velvety, and reds and greens brighter than ever.
The HP z6100, introduced in June 2007 and purchased by Portland Color immediately, is the first uncompromised inkjet printer we have seen. We believe it will replace photographic printing in the digital marketplace.
Environmental impacts
This is a very low impact technology, and a good choice for eco-sensitive companies. While the aqueous ink contains drying agents, it emits near zero VOCs, uses
no toxic chemicals, and has fewer negative impacts than photo process, solvent, or traditional UV curable processes. The ink cartridges are reuseable, and
almost all of the printing substrates are recyclable.

Finishing
Can be mounted to different substrates. Banners can be finished with hemming, pole pockets and/or grommets; they can also be laminated for additional
protection.
Ideal uses
Indoor and outdoor banners are excellent for promotions and events. Adhesive backed vinyl and digital wallpaper are great for semi permanent wall
treatments for corporate boardroom or retail environments.
Archival quality
Outdoor prints on vinyl guaranteed for 8 months. Prints used indoor should not see any significant fading if kept out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.
All materials offer superior water resistance.
File Preparation
Adobe Creative Suite, PDF or Quark Express accepted. Images should be a minimum of 125 dpi at final printed size.
